Through our services and applications, Workplace Operations & Supply Chain provide an employee experience that drives innovation, collaboration, productivity, and transparency. Our Global Employee Operations Team is central to this effort by providing platinum support to 21,000 employees and more than 500,000 annual visitors in more than 170 state-of-the-art offices around the world. We are a close-knit, hardworking team that relies upon a complex set of proprietary and third-party systems to deliver the services we provide. Those systems are the key to understanding where we are doing our jobs well and where we can develop.
Bloomberg's Audio-Visual team touches every business unit and every service offering within the organization. It's the primary resource utilized to facilitate real time face to face communication and enables remote location collaboration. Audio Visual is utilized everywhere and will need to be accessible anywhere to ensure smooth outcomes in your day to day. We also deliver outstanding service during onsite events on a local and global scale. Our service offerings fall into five distinct categories: AV Event execution, Event Technology, UC Collaboration, AV Infrastructure and Onsite Technical Support.
We are seeking an experienced AV Event technician to join Bloomberg's workplace operations events team. This in-person role at our Princeton location is a combination of technical event execution, AV infrastructure maintenance and technical escalation support. You'll be primarily tasked with planning and executing AV events within Bloomberg's offices. This includes both setting up conference rooms and training rooms as well as higher profile events in our auditorium event spaces. When not executing events, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our conference rooms, AV event spaces, digital signage and high-level tech support needs. This can include assisting our help desk and on-site support teams with high ticket volumes. A top candidate will have extensive experience operating AV equipment during live events, maintaining AV infrastructure and providing best of class customer service to our internal and external stake holders. • Possess a good understanding of AV workflows to set up and troubleshoot events and problems
• Act as an ambassador representing the department to our stakeholders and clients that exist within our spaces

• Take a "hands-on" approach to deliver innovation while collaborating with our global partners and AV engineering teams
• Be flexible to accommodate events in and outside of normal working hours based upon business and stakeholder needs
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment demonstrating high energy, a sense of urgency and decisiveness
• Be a hands-on individual who builds transparency, values collaboration, holds self and team accountable
• Manage and execute small projects independently and collaboratively with a team (End of Life Hardware Upgrades, Event Space Room Checks)
• Provide level 1/2 technical support to our 22,000 internal employees remotely and desk side
• Travel between sites within NJ / NY as needed
• Stay adaptable and cater to the unique needs of our senior stakeholders
You'll need to have:
• 5 + years of demonstrated experience supporting events occurring in live and control room environments
• A working knowledge of video/audio mixing, Pan Tilt Zoom multi-camera controls, lighting, Internet Protocol TV, video conferencing (Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams), Crestron, and general infrastructure support
• Experience troubleshooting audio, video, switching and control systems
• Proven success at communicating, prioritizing, and balancing cross-functional stakeholders' needs
• An ability to build positive relationships and manage change across functions within a large organization
• An ability to combine human stories and needs to identify a compelling path forward
• An ability to work in diverse environment and be comfortable with non-hierarchical organizations
• An ability to flex between AV / internal support when events are low
• Flexibility, be an outstanding teammate, work independently, and learn in a fast-paced environment
We'd love to see:
• Experience with audio DSP, video processing, control system platform certifications (i.e., Biamp, Q-Sys, Extron, AVIXA certifications)
• An understanding of network security and vulnerability standards
• Examples of completed projects and references
• Proficiency in training on emerging AV technologies and tools
